Privacy Policy
The short version
The Sorted Shelf is a content site. You can read every page without creating an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Information we collect
We do not run sign-up forms, comments or a newsletter on this site, so we do not collect personal information from you directly.
Like most websites, the hosting service that delivers these pages may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This data is used to keep the site running and secure.
Amazon affiliate links
The Sorted Shelf is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When you click a "View on Amazon" button you leave this site. Amazon may place cookies on your device to record that the visit came from an affiliate link. We do not see who clicked or what any individual bought. Anything you do on Amazon is covered by Amazon's own privacy notice.
Other third-party services
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address. Google's privacy policy describes how that data is handled.
Pages may also link to other outside sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
Cookies
The Sorted Shelf does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Third parties such as Amazon may set cookies after you follow a link to their site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that collect information, such as analytics or a newsletter, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
