Who we are
The Sorted Shelf is written by The Sorted Shelf Editorial Team, a small independent team in the United States. We write practical guides for organizing small kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, closets and rentals.
How we choose topics
We write about specific, common problems: pipes under the sink, narrow pantry doors, deep corner cabinets, crowded drawers. Each guide should help you fix the problem even if you never buy anything.
How we research
- We start with measurements. Guides explain what to measure and which sizes usually fit.
- We compare products using the dimensions, weight limits and materials listed by the manufacturer or on the product page.
- We read verified buyer reviews and note recurring problems from 1 to 3 star reviews as caveats.
- We do not claim hands-on testing and we never invent personal experiences or write in the voice of a customer.
- We do not receive free products, and no brand can pay to be featured or ranked.
Images
Product card photos show the type of item, not one exact listing. Some illustrative images are made with AI or drawn by us and are labeled as such. Always check the product page for real photos before you buy.

Prices
Prices change often, so most guides do not list them. When a price appears, it is marked "at time of writing" with the date it was checked.
Updates
We review guides when product details or availability change. Each article shows when it was published and, after a meaningful change, an "Updated" date.
Corrections
If you spot a wrong measurement, a broken link or an out-of-date detail, email scbwt@outlook.com. We check every report and fix confirmed errors as soon as we can, then update the date on the page.
